This is my geog revision.
How volcanoes are formed.
When plates move, earthquakes occur. The earthquake causes a crack in the earth's surface. if the crack is above a magma chamber, magma will flow up ti the Earth's surface at the vent. It flows through the pipe then through the crator. The magma then cools and solidifies. That is how volcanoes are formed.
*Almost perfect :D Peeked at my notes a little
Fold mountains
When plates move toward each other, earthquakes occur. Rocks crack and sedimentary rocks are formed. The sedimentary rocks become compressed and begin to fold and bend. With further compression, the folded sedimentary rocks are uplifted to form fold mountains.
*Copied everything from the book.
Block mountains/rift valleys
When plates move toward or away from each other, earthquakes occur and cracks form on all types of rocks. With further compression, rocks become displaced at the faultlines, forming block mountains and riftvalleys. The displacement of rocks is called faulting.

Water Cycle ):
When the sun shines like an egg, (SUNSHINE EGGS!) it heats up all waterbodies (e.g. lakes, sea) causing evaporation. The sun also heats up water from plants causing Transpiration. The water vapour rises and condenses into water droplets that accumulates to form clouds. The clouds become saturated and fall as precipitation. Some of the rainwater is intercepted by the plants and vegetation and some rainwater is infiltrated into the ground as groundwater. Most of the water flows back into the waterbodies as surface runoff which eventually becomes a river. The cycle repeats itself.
*Almost there, just almost.
Igneous Rocks
When plates move, earthquakes occur, cracks are form over the earth's surface and magma flows out of the cracks. Some of the magma cools before it reaches the surface, forming intrusive igneous rocks (coarse-grained) while the magma that cools above the Earth's surface forms extrusive igneous rocks (fine-grained).
coarse ---> Granite
fine ---> Basalt
Sedimentary Rocks
Sedimentary rocks are formed when weathered and eroded materials known as sediments are deposited continuously in successive layer into rivers or seas over a long period of time. The weight of each new underlying layer compresses the underlying layers, causing the sediments to become compacted, harden and cemented together to form SEDIMENTARY ROCKS.
Fine-grained - Shale
Coarse-grained - Sandstone.
Metamorphic Rocks
Metamorphic rocks are formed when sedimentary rocks and igneous rocks are subjected to extreme heat and pressure to become a very hard rock. The minerals in the original rocks are rearranged into bands, giving the metamorphic rocks a FOLIATED appearance.
Shale ---> Slate
Limestone ---> Marble
Granite ---> Gneiss
*Rocks are failure
THE ROCK CYCLE
Molten magma flows to the Earth's surface. In the process, some cool and solidify on or within the earth's surface as extrusive or intrusive igneous rocks. Intrusive igneous rocks are exposed when over lying layers are removed by erosion or weathering. These rocks break down into smaller pieces. These igneous rocks break down into smaller pieces by physical and chemical processes. The sediments are transported and laid down in successivelayers which are compressed, compacted and cemented to form sedimentary rocks. Geological processes such as plate movements subject both igneous and sedimentary rocks to great heat and pressure. The physical and chemical characteristics of these rocks are altered/modified to form metamorphic rocks. All types of rocks will return to the Earth's interior when plates meets at subduction zones. The rocks will melt and become magma as they enter the Earth's interior because of the extreme pressure and heat. The cycle repeats itself.
*die and fail
thats all for now :D
